About Me
Hello, my name is Sahba Moghen, and I am a psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by resilience.
I was born and raised in Iran, where I was denied the chance to pursue higher education. After immigrating to Canada, I faced many challenges building a new life. There were moments when hope seemed far away, but I kept going and eventually completed my Master’s in Psychotherapy.
These experiences taught me firsthand the strength it takes to rise when life feels overwhelming. They are also why I am deeply committed to helping others find light, meaning, and healing in their own journeys.

My Approach
I believe therapy is most powerful when it feels safe, compassionate, and collaborative. My work is rooted in being client-centered, meaning that your story, your pace, and your goals guide the process.
I specialize in trauma-focused psychotherapy and often draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), an approach that helps people connect with their inner strengths while gently healing wounded parts of themselves. By combining evidence-based practices with genuine care, I aim to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Together, we will work to uncover resilience, strengthen self-worth, and open new possibilities for growth and healing.

My Philosophy
The words “Still I Rise” guide both my life and my work. They reflect a simple truth: no matter how heavy life feels, there is always the possibility to rise again.
I see therapy as a way of helping clients reconnect with their resilience, discover meaning in their experiences, and move forward with greater strength. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support and perspective as you create the life you want to live.
